Our Story
1stAmerican recalls the USA, but we are Italians. The founder Giò Tedeschi was the first of his family to work in New York in the Cashmere sector in the 90s.
Back in Milan in 2008 he began to collaborate with various brands and then started production in Italy with 1stAmerican Cashmere, so everything was born from the desire for the comfort and softness of this sweet and refined yarn and a return to the country of origin with a very Anglo-Saxon vision of making quality at a fair price.
Giò Tedeschi, founder and art director, gives life to the 100% cashmere brand 1stAmerican, offering the European public a timeless collection offer, perfect for interpreting the needs of everyday life. Knitwear for men and women, made of fine yarns such as cashmere and silk, can be worn to participate in leisure activities, as well as perfect for working days. Great attention is paid to quality and sartorial or artisanal production.
1stAmerican prioritizes the sustainability of its garments, as we are a brand attentive and respectful of environmental protection. Sustainability, which is the foundation of the 100% linen line that alternates with 100% cashmere following the rhythm of the seasons, and fiber recycling are always central features, along with the enhancement of artisanal work.
The new line of 100% silk garments focuses on the natural fibers used in each creation.
The 1st American line is produced in Italy and boasts the best quality/price ratio as its strong point, thanks to the fact that production goes directly from the manufacturer to the final consumer.
Giò Tedeschi, designer and founder, works with a team of young and talented stylists to create the garments at the company’s headquarters in Milan, the fashion capital par excellence. The fresh style philosophy, combined with the unmistakable allure of Made in Italy, is a constant element for each collection.
The focus on using 100% natural fibers has led to the creation of lines in 100% silk, linen, and leather accessories. The collection dedicated to silk garments specifically includes blouses and shirts, but also scarves, jackets, and trousers. Linen, which enjoys great sales success for our brand, covers a unisex summer total look, being a fabric suitable for the climate changes we are witnessing.
